I have been a Hop and Vine semi-regular for years, back to when it was call Wine Affairs. I didn't realize they did events until one day while talking with one of the owners, that this was something that they could do. We had a group of about 80 and a small to medium sized budget. My co-planner and I had contacted about 6-8 other venues up and down the Peninsula and encountered no flexibility, very high costs and minimal availability. They all seemed geared toward large corporate events with big budgets. H&V was more interested in how we could stay within budget but still ensure that our guests had an amazing experience. The planning process was borderline fun, H&V was accommodating and helpful in suggesting things that would make our party a success. They were extremely flexible, giving us multiple options during the planning process. Doug has a heavy background in hospitality and catering so he has been a great resource in the past and he was in this case also. We ended up buying out the bar for a few hours, agreeing on drinks and food, and ending "our time" right as the live music was starting, which encouraged our guests to stay longer if they chose to. We got so many compliments on the venue, the organization of the event, the staff at H&V, and the food and drink choices. For the size and logistics of the party it was a painless, rewarding experience for us as the organizers, with a group of 80 happy colleagues. I would highly recommend Hop and Vine for a small to medium sized event. Thank you and great job Hop and Vine!

Your classic neighborhood wine bar! I'm not a huge wine drinker myself but this is the go to spot I take wine loving friends when we don't want to get back in the car. Importantly, this place has food compared to several nearby tasting rooms. Alcohol on an empty stomach is a bad scene man! This place offers a wide selection of beer (hops) and wine (vine). You can even make your own flight of wine with generous pours. The food isn't gourmet level but hits the spot and you can't go wrong. My favorite is the truffle balsamic basil pizza to make me feel adult. Heads up the crostini are small so it's more of a snack/light meal. Every service person I've had here has been so funny and kind Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating, but outdoor is bar height with backless chairs on the sidewalk - limited street parking nearby

I love this bar/restaurant! The menu and bar are awesome to get food and drinks from. My absolute favorite is the fondue and charcuterie boards. Very inclusive and friendly environment. A treat to visit!

This place is really cool. They seem like a wine bar at the core, but also have beer and mini corn dogs available. The place has a really casual vibe, which I appreciated after a week long grind. We got a bottle of pinot and lingered for a while. If we didn't just come from dinner we would have gotten a board and some apps. I'm excited to come back to knock back some reds and corn dogs.
